Descend beneath the ruins of your idyllic homeland to repair what's been broken and maybe someday forgive yourself.
Metamage is a new kind of action-adventure, blending matching-game inspired mechanics with fast paced strategic combat, programmable logic puzzles, and a dynamic world to explore. Harness the magic of the Valley's four runes of power
- match them efficiently to fend off swarms of enemies, or use them to reprogram machines, objects, and even the world around you. Grow stronger and discover just how far your magic will reach...
The Valley - home to colorful forests, sprawling caverns, and a peaceful community of deer-like denizens called the Elkfolk. Through its roots and breezes flows an old magic that Elkfolk mages have learned to control. But the Valley
is dying, rotting away as it's swarmed by horrible insect invaders known as the Chytins. The only force keeping them at bay are Heroes, those attuned enough to the Valley's magic to wield it like no other. It is a difficult job,
but no Hero has ever failed to protect their home from the army of Chytins.
That's where you come in.
Play as Sika, a powerful Hero left shattered after his greatest defeat. When a mysterious presence forces him to confront the truth, he must return to his dying home and discover what it really means to save the world.
Hi! My name is Josh and I'm a game developer. I've been playing all kinds of games since I was a little kid and have dreamed of someday making one of my own. I've always gravitated toward games that tell beautiful stories in interesting
ways, and I decided that I wanted to make something like that, whatever it takes. So I began developing what would become Metamage in August of 2017.
Other than a CS degree, I don't have much training in any of this so I've had to figure a lot out the hard way. But I have this sort of itch where even when I'm at my lowest and I hate every line of code or pixel on the screen,
I find myself coming back. Because games - in so many weird and wonderful ways - give you the amazing chance to build a whole experience for someone - and I'd really like to do that for as many people as I can! :)
